About participation to the Antarctic Activity Week:
Invitation is addressed to all Radio Amateurs around the world, to the Clubs and Organizations who would like to join us, and share with us this initiative.
Let us try to explain how:
Who wish to join, have to apply for Special Prefix (it would be great that prefix or suffix recalls Antarctica as for example IR8ANT, IR2ANT, TM…ANT, DL…ANT, UA2021ANT, ZX…ANT, KK…ANT, VK….ANT, VX…ANT and so on). In other words, a kind of Special Prefixes from each Countries, with the suffix ANT or a pfx that recalls the year or the AAW edition (example TM18AAW) .
Any Countries have an own procedure to apply for a special callsign for any kind of events and I’m sure it’s easy to get a SES callsign for the AAW as well through the Communication Commission in each Country (FCC in USA, MIUR in Italy, REF in France, DARC in Germany and so on)
Once you have your special call (you can use it for any years to follow), send it to wap_info@virgilio.it . WAP number will immediately be issued , to be exchanged in your QSOs, then you can jump into the competition!
WAP-Number, Special Call, Operator(s) and QSL info will be shown on the AAW list and on the WAP-WADA Directory
