11th AAW is dedicated in memory of Luigi Michaud and to those, like him, perished in Antarctica while in scientific missions, to those who like him, have left their soul in the white peace of Antarctica.
Luigi Michaud was a young Italian researcher , perished last Jan. 17, while collecting marine samples in the water of the Ross Sea, in front of the Italian Scientific Base MZS.
Dr. Michaud did work for Biological and Environmental Department of Sciences of the University of Messina. He’s the first researcher who dies on the field in the history of Italian research in Antarctica. Luigi, 40 years, left a wife and 2 kids.
BRF (Brave Radio Friends http://braveradiofriends.weebly.com) will sponsor the 11th Antarctic Activity Week with a new AAA (which will looking different every year).
